Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Atlyst ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Service is operated by Atlyst; upon formation of Atlyst, LLC, this policy and the data described in it will transfer to Atlyst, LLC.
1. What we collect from you
- Account information: your email address, name, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never see or store plain-text passwords).
- Things you create: channel lists, saved episodes, preferences (such as your Atlyst / My World mode), and saved searches — stored so your workspace follows your account across devices.
- Usage signals: which features you use, to improve the product. We do not sell this or share it with advertisers.
2. YouTube data
Atlyst uses YouTube API Services to analyze publicly available channels and videos: statistics, metadata, public captions, and public comments. By using Atlyst you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Stored YouTube data is refreshed on a continuous schedule, and we display it with links back to the original videos and channels on YouTube.
3. If you connect your YouTube account
The optional "Import YouTube subscriptions" feature uses Google sign-in with read-only access to your YouTube subscriptions. We read your subscription list, your playlists and your liked videos once, to show them to you and let you choose what to bring in; nothing from that read is stored; we never store your Google credentials or tokens, and nothing is added to your Atlyst account unless you choose each channel yourself. You can revoke Atlyst's access at any time in your Google security settings.
4. Where your data lives
Atlyst runs on Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (database and authentication), which act as our data processors. Data is stored in the United States. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except these processors and as required by law.
5. Cookies and local storage
Atlyst uses browser local storage for sign-in sessions and small conveniences (like remembering your view settings on this device). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
6. Affiliate links
Book and product links may be affiliate links (for example, through the Amazon Associates program). Clicking one shares no personal data from Atlyst with the retailer beyond the ordinary workings of the link itself.
7. Data retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your account is active. To delete your account and its personal data, contact us and we will remove it within 30 days. Aggregated, non-personal analytics may be retained.
8. Children
Atlyst is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes
We will post updates to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
